For over 25 years, Sweet Potato Kids Inc. has been a cornerstone of the Randallstown community, dedicated to more than just childcare— we are a launchpad for lifelong learning and success. As a family owned enterprise, we have had the privilege of serving over 11,000 scholars and their families, creating a nurturing environment where every child is empowered to explore, grow, and thrive.

Our journey began as a simple desire to provide a safe, enriching space for children and has since evolved into a full-service educational hub. We offer high-quality preschool programming, before- and after-school care with transportation, and engaging summer programs, providing families with a seamless and supportive ecosystem from early childhood through the school-age years. Our commitment to the community extends beyond our walls, servicing Title 1 schools and proudly welcoming a diverse population of young learners.

At Sweet Potato Kids, our mission is rooted in four core values: fostering a love of learning, bridging opportunity and achievement gaps, ensuring equitable outcomes, and actively disrupting disparities in education. This drives us to provide a vibrant learning community where children can develop essential cognitive, social, and emotional skills.

Beyond our day-to-day programs, we have been honored to receive national recognition, including an invitation to the White House and a feature in Times Square, but our greatest reward is being a trusted partner for working families in our community.

Sweet Potato Kids was competitively selected by the Maryland State Department of Education to receive the Prekindergarten Expansion Grant — a recognition of our 25-year commitment to delivering high-quality early education to families in Baltimore County. This grant allows us to expand access to Pre-K for three and four year olds from working families across our community, in direct alignment with the Blueprint for Maryland's Future.
